Bea Alonzo turns emotional as she bids goodbye to her home network ABS-CBN

Bea Alonzo turned emotional as she shared a message to her home network, ABS-CBN after she officially transferred to the GMA Network.

The 33-year-old actress signed a contract with GMA Network on Thursday, July 1.

On the same day, Alonzo also posted on her YouTube account a vlog where she recalled her journey as an artist. She said it was hard for her but she was able to go on with the help of ABS-CBN.

“I had to make a lot of sacrifices, I had to quit school for it although nobody asked me to do that. Naging desisyon ko lang siya nung time na tuloy-tuloy ‘yung trabaho.

“I had to miss birthdays, I had to miss graduations, and a lot of special events sa buhay ko and sa buhay ng pamilya ko.

“But I have to say, it was all worth it and I have ABS-CBN to thank for all of the opportunities they have given me,” she said.

The actress then turned emotional as she shared that ABS-CBN helped build her career and who she is today as an artist.

“They have trusted in me and they helped me hone my talent.

“I will never forget everything that they have done for me. I couldn’t have done it without the help of their most talented writers, brilliant directors, and most professional co-actors.

“I will never forget the day when my life has changed because they trusted in me,” she shared.

Alonzo was with ABS-CBN for about 2 decades before she decided to leave the network in November 2020.

At the end of her vlog, the actress asked for the continuous support of the people as she takes on a different path for her career.

“This decision is both exciting and terrifying for me but if there’s anything that this pandemic has taught me is that you only live once and life is short.

“Be happy to things that make you feel alive and that for me is chasing my dreams and performing my purpose,” she said.

Alonzo is a homegrown talent of ABS-CBN. She was a part of Star Magic’s Batch 10 in 2001 along with her batchmates Dennis Trillo, Alfred Vargas, Nadine Samonte, TJ Trinidad, and Karel Marquez.

She was one of ABS-CBN’s A-listers which is a distinction for few Kapamilya artists after garnering box-office hits or top-rating shows.
