The sensational Korean drama “Crash Landing On You” has been chosen by netizens as Asian Drama of the Year for the 2020 Asian Drama Awards.
Last December 30, we chose South Korea’s “Crash Landing on You” as one of the five finalists vying for “Asian Drama of Year” recognition alongside four other series namely: “Count Your Lucky Stars” (China), “Go Ahead” (China), “Start-Up” (South Korea), and “The World of the Married” (South Korea). The criteria for the selection of finalists were: 30% production quality, 30% entertainment, and 40% viewers impact in the Asian region.
We opened the poll on the same day and closed it on January 5, 2021 at 12:00 noon. “Crash Landing on You” garnered 97,033 votes or 48.21% emerging as the winner. It was neck-and-neck against the Chinese drama “Count Your Lucky Stars” which got a total of 91,451 votes or 45.43% after the 7-day polling period.
