Finally: Mendokoro Ramenba Is Popping Up in Quezon City This Weekend

(SPOT.ph) Local resto Mendokoro Ramenba has long been the talk of the town for their killer ramen, but most especially these past few weeks. ICYMI, they held al-fresco pop-ups twice at Capitol Commons in Pasig—which was a godsend for those in the area as their other branches are stationed in Makati, BGC, and Alabang. But if you’re anything like us folks from Quezon City, all we could think of was, “QC, WHEN??” and dreaming of the day we, too, could slurp on their noodles right from our turf! Well, Spotters, that day has come: Mendokoro’s food truck is popping up at Robinsons Magnolia this weekend, October 16 to 17!

Get ready to slurp away as Mendokoro Ramenba is popping up in Quezon City:

As with their previous pop-ups, you can go for a freshly prepared bowl of their signature ramen bowls. The Shio (P430) is an excellent rendition of the classic that lets their full-on fatty tonkotsu broth shine, while the Shoyu (P460) is an umami bomb that got second place in our 2019 Top 10 Shoyu Ramen in Manila list. For a good kick of heat, go for the nutty-spicy Tantanmen (P490); or try the shrimp-and-seafood studded Ebi Tonkotsu (P640) for a change of protein. There’s also their signature Super Chashu (P610) that’s decidedly smoky and topped with a huge hunk of char siu! Pair your bowl with their Gyoza (P140/three pieces, P230/five pieces; P540/12 pieces frozen) and you’ll be all set for a great weekend ahead.

Excited yet? Catch Mendokoro Ramenba’s pop-up food truck at The Garden in Robinsons Magnolia, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Mendokoro Ramenba is a ramen joint from the folks behind fellow ramen restaurant Yushoken. They opened their first branch in Makati in 2014 and have commanded long lines (pre-pandemic) ever since.

Mendokoro Ramenba’s pop-up will be at The Garden, Robinsons Magnolia, Aurora Boulevard corner Dona Hemady Street, Quezon City. For more information, check out Mendokoro Ramenba’s Facebook page.
