It’s Time You Had Michelin-Level Ramen at Home

(SPOT.ph) Those who know their ramen would know the story by now: Chef Yuki Onishi came from a family of chefs who knew ramen; he’d apprenticed at his father’s ramen shop, Nanae no Aji no mise, Mejiro, right after high school. Still, he wanted to create his own ramen using natural ingredients, no MSG, and no artificial flavoring, and so a nine-seat ramen shop called Japanese Soba Noodles Tsuta was born in 2012, and it was only two years later when he earned his first Bib Gourmand award from the Michelin Guide Japan. Manila’s most avid eaters were excited when Tsuta opened in BGC in 2017, and if that includes you, you’ll want to try the Tsuta ramen kit, just launched this week.

The Tsuta ramen kit comes in a box that’s just a little bigger than a hardbound novel.

The Tsuta ramen kit includes three servings of Tsuta’s shoyu-based ramen. It only takes two minutes to cook the noodles in boiling water. Recreate Chef Yuki’s dashi by adding the seasoning to hot water, scoop it into a bowl, add the noodles, and you get Tsuta’s signature, umami-rich ramen, all in the comforts of home.
