Tsokolateria is one of those spots in Tagaytay that’s often jam-packed. The limited parking area right in front of The Boutique Bed and Breakfast where the restaurant is located always seems to be occupied by patrons wanting to enjoy the restaurant’s relaxing ambiance, scenic view of Taal, and soul-soothing eats. As its name suggests, everything on the Tsokolateria menu is either made with cacao as the main ingredient or has bits of cacao. Here’s what to order at Tsokolateria if it’s your first time eating there:
Tablea House Blend (starts at P160)
Let’s start with the obvious: A visit to Tsokolateria is never complete without a cup of their old-fashioned tsokolate de batirol. If it’s your first time there, you can try their Tsokolate Ah or Tsokolate Eh—the former is a milkier hot chocolate while the latter is a richer, thicker version. They also have more unconventional takes on the drink like the Sili Labuyo Tsoko Blend, the Tsoko Barako, and the Tostadong Yema, to name a few.
Tablea Champorado (P220/solo, P395/double)
Since Tsokolateria is known for its delicious tablea, you can expect most of the items on the menu to have tablea in them, too and that includes everyone’s favorite rainy day craving: Champorado. It’s a sweet alternative for warm comfort food in Tagaytay that isn’t bulalo. Tsokolateria’s Tablea Champorado is served with milk along with salty adobo flakes, chicharon, and fish chips to bring out the sweetness of the chocolate rice porridge.
Original Churros Waffle (P280)
If you’re in Tagaytay for breakfast or merienda, you can’t go wrong with Tsokolateria’s Churros Waffle that’s crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. Tsokolateria offers many different variations of the breakfast-favorite including one served with bacon belly, arugula, and eggs.
Black Risotto (P380)
Tsokolateria’s Black Risotto is not your regular risotto. This one is made with squid, black ink,fresh gata, and of course, a dash of tablea powder. The hearty dish is served with the restaurant’s Tsokolate Crostini.
Bacon Lechon Kawali Cebu-Style (P320)

If you’re feeling adventurous, one of Tsokolateria’s all-time classics is the Bacon Lechon Kawali. The crispy liempo is marinated in tanglad (lemongrass), cooked with peppercorns, bay leaf, and cacao nibs, and then served with garlic rice, Pinoy salsa, orange yolk omelette, and sinamak with cacao nibs.
