5 dead, 5 injured in Tondo fire
FIVE persons, four of them children, died in a fire that hit a residential area in Tondo district in Manila on Sunday, authorities said.
The Bureau of Fire Protection identified one of the victims as Jake Loyola, 37. The others who perished in the blaze at the Parola compound were children aged 12, 10, 8, and 3.
Five others were injured, including a 9-year-old boy.
The fire reached the 4th alarm at 1:49 a.m. and was extinguished at 6:11 a.m.
