BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, April 30 (PIA) – The Department of Science and Technology(DOST) recently gave science and technology research technology among schoolers and teachers in barangay Talbek in Dupax del Sur town.
Jonathan Nuestro, DOST Provincial chief said that under their Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST), they have provided the Talbek Elementary School (TES) with one unit of S&T Academic and Research-Based Openly-Operated Kiosk Stations (STARBOOKS).
He said a total of seven teachers and 509 students of TES can now have access to academic resources for their modules even without an internet connection.
“Due to their location, access to information, especially through the internet, has become a challenge to the people of Talbek. This technology will address their needs, especially the education of mostly Bugkalot schoolers,” Nuestro said.
