JASAAN, Misamis Oriental (PIA) – Surrounded by various tourist spots and pristine beaches, this town is a must-see municipality of Misamis Oriental.
In a recent episode of Network Briefing News with Communications Secreatry Martin Andanar, Mayor Redentor Jardin highlighted the various tourist spots in the municipality that both local and foreign tourists can visit such as the Sagpulon Falls, a 300 meter waterfalls that were developed in cooperation with the provincial government of Misamis Oriental; Agutayan White Island situated at Macajalar Bay, which is 20 minutes away from the mainland through Barangay Jampason; and the Sailfin Lizard Tourist spot in Barangay Solana, which was developed as early as 2000.
Aside from these tourist spots, the municipality is also known for its cold spring resorts.
Another attraction of the municipality is the 132-year-old Immaculate Conception Parish Church, situated in the heart of the población area of the municipality, recognized by the National Commission of Culture and the Arts (NCCA) as one of the National Historical Landmarks in the country. It has a museum beside it for tourists to view.
Jardin invites local tourists to visit and see the beauty of Jasaan.
