It’s a girl for Iya Villania and Drew Arellano
AFTER raising two adorable boys, showbiz couple Iya Villania and Drew Arellano welcomed baby No. 3, their first baby girl, on Saturday.
The proud daddy shared the news on his Instagram with the first official photo of their unica hija. He simply captioned it with their daughter’s name and birthdate, “Alana Lauren V. Arellano. July 18, 2020.”
The photo gained more than 200,000 likes as of posting time and 10,000 congratulatory messages from fans and other showbiz personalities like Anne Curtis, Gretchen Ho, Bianca Gonzales, Solenn Heussaff and Dingdong Dantes, among others.
Three hours later, Arellano shared a photo of him and his wife Villania together with the latest addition to their family and wrote, “Our Lil dumpling.”
On her Instagram Stories, Villania, first gave a glimpse of her labor at 4:37 a.m., showing a selfie inside the delivery room wearing a face shield and surgical mask.
At 7:14 a.m., Villania said through a short video, “I’m done! Finished!”
“Delivery is hard. Thank you Lord for getting me thru that once again,” Villania later wrote.
A few hours more Villania, inside her recovery room and with her husband, admitted she was still in disbelief that their newborn is a girl.
“I was so sure it’s a boy because in one of the ultrasounds, I thought I saw balls,” she laughingly recalled.
Turning to Arellano, Villania said, “You got a girl love, you got your princess!”
The couple first announced they were expecting baby No. 3 on January 31 but decided to keep the gender a surprise until Villania’s delivery.
Married for six years now, TV hosts Villania and Arellano, share two sons – Primo, 4 and Leon, 2.
