A magnitude 5.2 earthquake jolted Davao Occidental on Wednesday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs said the tectonic quake took place around 6:25 a.m. and had a depth of 79 kilometers.
Its epicenter was at 318kms southeast of Sarangani, also in Davao Occidental, Phivolcs chief Renato Solidum told The Manila Times.
Aftershocks and damage are not expected, Solidum said.
There was also no threat of tsunami, according to the Phivolcs’ top official.
