In 2016, he was voted by almost 20 Million electors mainly because of his advocacies – his war against illegal drugs, corruption, criminality, insurgency and the poverty of the many. His battle cry was Federalism which he assured to the Filipino people. In the whole this is his mandate. This has been affirmed time and time again by the people in surveys, the latest of which is his 91% trust and popularity rating.

According to Mayor Reynaldo San Pedro, “we cannot realize the change that we have been pushing except via Revolutionary Government similar to what the late President Corazon E. Aquino” did. Constitutional Convention, Constitutional Assembly or People’s Initiative is not anymore possible. We lost the golden opportunity. Our last resort is peaceful, armed-less, and non-violent “People Power”, a Revolutionary Government. This is the only way we can have Federalism and address effectively the problems on illegal drugs, corruption, criminality, insurgency and the poverty of our people. Give President Duterte enough powers under a Revolutionary Government without term extension, Congressman Omar Albano Fajardo, emphasized.
The revolutionary government is being pushed with a covenant and a social compact with the sovereign power, the Filipino people, “that during the period of the Revolutionary Government, the President is the head and President of the Revolutionary Government, no other, Councilor Joseph Ponce, said.
President Duterte’s statement on Federalism
“Basta ako sana mismo ang magsabi, alis na ako. Hindi ako maghintay ng 6 years”
“Kung magtulong kayo diyan sa federal system campaign at gawain ninyong slogan also for the unity and to preserve this republic, makipag-areglo ako,” “I will step down that is my commitment to you,”
“As I said, the revolutionary government should not be discussed in sub rosa (in secrecy). It should be discussed publicly should include the military. “If they want to propose changes, then let us hear them out,”
