Manila university holds symbolic Covid-19 vaccination of education frontliners

THE symbolic vaccination of education frontliners was held at the Universidad de Manila (UDM), as part of its celebration of its 27th founding anniversary of the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) and the first Higher Education Day.

A hundred higher education personnel from UDM will be vaccinated. These include workers under the skeletal workforce of the university working in the registrar’s and administrative offices, facilities and janitorial services, and security forces, among others.

“This is our response to your dedication and service. The work of education frontliners is truly honorable, and we want to ensure your safety,” said Department of Health (DoH) Secretary Francisco Duque 3rd.

Education frontliners currently fall under the A4 priority group (frontline personnel in essential sectors) of the National Deployment and Vaccination Plan for Covid-19 (NDVP) from the initial B1 prioritization.
