BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Jan. 14 (PIA) – The provincial government and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has started the processing of applications for the implementation of the Nego Karts and Kabuhayan Starter Kits for the poor.
Provincial Employment Service Office (PESO) Officer-In-Charge Dolly Rose MInas said the recipients of the Nego Karts and Kabuhayan Starter Kits will be the poor villagers who are not recipients of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
“We have started the pre-evaluation of the applicants for this year . The target applicants for Nego-Karts are limited to ambulant vendors, while those for Kabuhayan Starter Kits need to be skilled in their respective professions as evidenced by TESDA NC-II or Barangay Certifications,” she said.
Minas also said the province has 100 available slots and a budget of P3 Million for each of the Nego-Karts and Kabuhayan Starter Kits programs where the povincial government, as counterpart shoulders 20 percent of the program cost and provides the necessary administrative support.
She said that DOLE has informed them of the visit of Sen. Joel Villanueva, DOLE Sec. Silvestre Bello III, and DOTr Sec. Arthur Tugade in the province this week for the program launching.
”All interested applicants, who should not be 4Ps program recipients, must bring along their Community Tax Certificates or Cedulas and 2 pieces of 2”x2” colored pictures”, Minas said.(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
