DAGUPAN CITY, Feb. 13 (PIA) – Officials in Pangasinan lauded the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) for its delivery of truthful and reliable information to the public.
In the PCOO Roadshow held in Dagupan City Thursday, Board Member Jeremy Agerico Rosario, who represented Governor Amado Espino III, expressed his gratitude to the PCOO for disseminating factual and accurate information to the public.
“We have all the reasons to be thankful with our day-to-day survival against CoVID-19. Despite uncertainties, we thank the Lord for the vaccine developed. We thank the PCOO headed by Sec. Martin Andanar for clearly delivering services and informing Filipinos regarding CoVID-19. We shall fight as one,” Rosario said.
The Board Member also shared the efforts of the provincial government to fight and mitigate the virus like the unified management response which includes the T3 or Test, Trace and Treat responses.
Mayor Brian Lim of Dagupan City welcomed the guests to the roadshow and said, he himself is a follower of the programs of PCOO like the press briefings of Spokesperson Harry Roque and Sec. Andanar which he watches over PTV-4 and on other official PCOO platforms to get updates.
“You are doing an amazing job at informing the citizenry on what is happening in our country. An important aspect on the way you present the information is that it is clear, objective and has no bias. Nagpapasalamat po kami at tapat na impormasyon ang nakukuha namin sa PCOO,” Lim said.
He also added that the city has also reduced Covid-19 cases by 60 percent from the recent Christas seasons urge. He also wanted the participants to feel safe during the event and their stay in Dagupan City.
Meanwhile, Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil of Lingayen town who also sits as President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines – Pangasinan Chapter, thanked the PCOO and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nogales for updating the public on the vaccination program of the country.
“Ang mga presentations ay napakahalaga sa Pangasinan at ang ating presidente, mahal niya ang taumbayan. Hindi isasagawa ang vaccination kung hindi ito safe at hindi makakatulong sa ating bansa,” Bataoil said.
He also pledged support to the Freedom of Information (FOI) programs and promised to pass the ordinance in his home town.
The PCOO is the lead communication arm of the government in advocating transparency and accountability through accurate timely and relevant information, education and communication activities.
