PINUKPUK, Kalinga, April 30 (PIA) – -. Fifty six members of Asibanglan Farmers Development Organization (AFDO) in Pinukpuk are recipients of 1,232 head free range chicken, a completion of delivery of the FY 2020 intervention project funded by the Department of Agriculture-Special Area for Agricultural Development(DA-SAAD) Program.
Each of the AFDO recipients received 22 head chicken stocks as livelihood assistance to help them in their daily living and utilized by their organization when the project starts to profit.
A briefing on chicken production was also conducted to aid the farmers in managing the project.
Present during the distribution were APCO Bentres Goyo, Assistant APCO Dr. Raponcel Saguilot, PInukpuk Municipal Agriculturist Dr. Eunice Belloza, MLGU SAAD Coordinator Dr. Glyceryl Hortelano, SAAD Kalinga staff, and the beneficiaries.
Asibanglan is a conflict affected barangay and identified as ELCAC area.
In a related development, the Bawak Darulog Allubaggan Pagugo Farmers Organization (BDAP FO) of Tanudan received earlier a startup livelihood enterprise through the establishment of a Free-range Chicken Multiplier Farm, a pilot project in Kalinga.
