SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte, Apr. 18 — Another joint effort of the Coast Guard Station – Surigao del Norte, Philippine National Police (PNP) Maritime Unit XIII, local government unit (LGU) of Surigao City, and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) yielded to a successful one-stop-shop registration of watercrafts particularly below three gross tonnage held on April 15 in Brgy. Bitaugan, this city.
The activity was spearheaded by the city government of Surigao through the City Agriculture Office purposely to assist the public in a convenient way of processing the pertinent documents of their respective boats as well as to ensure their compliance to the maritime safety requirements and to lessen their processing expenses.
Per record, Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte had registered a total of 42 motorbancas in the Safety, Security and Environmental Numbering (SSEN) System from the one-stop-shop registration activity. (Phil. Coast Guard- Surigao del Norte/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
