In a YouTube video aired on Monday, November 1, Cristy Fermin said she felt sorry for Albie Casiño, following the latter’s revelation about his past controversy with ex-girlfriend, Andi Eigenmann.

Fermin stated that Casiño should be the love team partner of Kathryn Bernardo, and not Daniel Padilla. She also said that Eigenmann’s pregnancy ruined the actor’s flourishing career back then.

“’Di ba si Albie Casiño dapat ‘yung mabibigyan ng napakalaking role sa isang pelikula nila ni Kathryn Bernardo pero noong sumabog nga itong isyu ay nagpa-audition nga ulit itong Star Cinema ng ibang artista na pwedeng gumanap sa kanyang role,” Fermin said.

“At napakaswerte naman po talaga nitong si Daniel Padilla. Doon ay naglaro ang kapalaran. Maaaring hindi talaga para kay Albie Casiño itong katanyagan na ito kasi hindi natuloy, may humarang,” she added.

As Casiño’s controversy with Eigenmann ruined his career, Fermin said she understood why he has an ill relationship with Eigenmann.

“Kung ako ang nasa katayuan ni Albie, talagang masakit. Imagine-in mo ‘yung ganda no’ng oportunidad na lumipad dahil lumabas ‘yung isyu ng pagdadalangtao ni Andi na siya ang ama,” she said.

“Sino naman produksyon ang kukuha sa isang aktor na pinagbibintangang ama ng isa ring anak ng artista? Natural papalitan siya. ‘Yun ‘yung napakalaking oportunidad na lumipad.”

During his Kumu live stream on Tuesday, October 26, Casiño made noise online after claiming that his former girlfriend Eigenmann didn’t apologize to him following their paternity dispute in 2011.

But according to Stevie, Eigenmann’s sister, the actress had apologized to him as she showed a screenshot of their conversation.

But for Fermin, Eigenmann’s apology to the actor was not sincere.

“Hindi ganun ka sinsero at kaseryoso… parang hehehe.. ako naman ay naaawa kay Albie. Alam ko kasi ang istorya nyan eh. Siya dapat si Daniel Padilla ngayon,” she said.

Casiño is best known for his role as Christian in the 2010 hit series, Mara Clara.

In August 2015, Casiño revealed his battle with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, citing it as a reason for his departure from ABS-CBN.
