(SPOT.ph) So Health Secretary Francisco Duque III is trending on Twitter yet again—this time for saying that the Philippines has “successfully flattened the curve since April.” Spoiler alert: the graphs certainly don’t look like it.

Duque later took to his own Twitter account to “clarify” the statement. “We bent the curve in April after the March ECQ but we are seeing an increase in cases due to the expanded testing capacity and community transmission as we allow movement of people,” he tweeted. Make of it what you will, but Twitter has definitely been on fire since that news broke. “Duque” is at the top of the trends as of writing—and people aren’t holding back.

Amid harsh calls to resign, angry comments, and general confusion, one specific trend stood out: Cake. Folks were dropping hints that maybe, possibly, instead of a human being, the walking, talking, and presumably breathing Health chief was actually made of cake. And we don’t mean figuratively or metaphorically either; people were legitimately wondering if Duque was actually just layers and layers of sponge cake with human-like fondant covering.
