Vice Ganda created a buzz online after donning a pink outfit on It’s Showtime, causing netizens to assume that he is a Kakampink.
On April 18, the comedian-host hosted the noontime show with a top and shoes that have a touch of pink, and his socks also have prints of roses.
Pink is the political color of the Leni-Kiko tandem and roses are usually used by netizens to signify their support for Presidential aspirant Leni Robredo, as derived from her campaign slogan, “Kulay rosas ang kulay ng bukas.”
These have stirred speculations online as netizens assume that Vice Ganda is discreetly supporting Robredo.
@im_1ein, an avid Vice Ganda fan said that they are aware of the signs shown by the comedian but, appeals to start publicizing his support.
Meme @vicegandako we know you’re supporting Ma’am Leni Robredo silently we see many sign that you are supporting her. Please show yourself na ‘cuz we need you in this battle.
In the same episode, Vice Ganda also addressed trolls who are constantly canceling people online but are hiding behind their fake accounts.
“Kasi yung iba ang tapang pero ‘pag tinignan mo, hindi naman nila pangalan, sa social media ang daming ganyan ‘di ba ang tapang, ang kuda— pero ‘pag tinignan mo, woii ‘di mo pangalan, alter account eh.
“Huwag matapang kung hindi totoong pangalan,” he said.
Robredo is one of the victims of these trolls as they continuously spread fake news about her to stain her Presidential bid.
Despite this, VP Robredo remained composed and advised netizens to continue their fight against fake news.
Vice Ganda has yet to officially express his support for any Presidential candidate, but he is known to be a supporter of the senatorial aspirant Atty. Chel Diokno is running under Leni-Kiko’s banner.
His co-hosts Anne Curtis, Kim Chiu, and Ogie Alcasid are also Kakampinks.
Will Vice Ganda officially announce his support for Robredo before the elections on May 9?
