On April 29, Kapamilya artist KD Estrada revealed that Alexa Ilacad’s parents approved of him for their daughter at the media conference for the launch of Slay Magazine.

Estrada disclosed that he’s ‘courting’ Ilacad, in a way, citing how Ilacad’s family likes him.

“Well, um, in a way. In a way. The thing is, ‘yung family niya–they approve of me naman. They approve of me. And I’ll keep it at that muna. And of course, I keep my good image sa kanila. I really want to show that to them kasi I really do care about their daughter. And a really/ good image of me to her family is really/ good right now.”

Ilacad then revealed the ‘real score’ between her and Estrada, clarifying that they’re currently focusing on their careers.

“We’ll that just it. We love and care for each other. Well, we’re not together.”

“No, no. I feel like personally, I feel like it’s too soon, especially with all the work. I don’t think it will be smart to rush into a relationship right away. I feel like sana mas magamay namin muna ‘yung trabaho and everything. And especially because–he’s quite new. And I don’t want him to get overwhelmed or add in pressure by having a relationship.”

However, Ilacad and Estrada agreed that they currently have a mutual understanding.

“Yeah, but we don’t really like that term anymore.”

As for Ilacad’s career, she became the first-ever cover girl of the talent management arm’s digital magazine Slay.

Her popularity rose further after joining the latest installment of Pinoy Big Brother, Kumunity Season 10, wherein she became a love team with KD Estrada, forming the KDLex pair.

The pair also has an upcoming teleserye titled Run To Me, premiering soon on Kapamilya platforms.
