McCoy de Leon, Elisse Joson consider their relationship as ‘panghabangbuhay’; the couple share how they got back together
The relationship of Elisse Joson and McCoy de Leon could be “one for the books” as the latter confirmed that it is “panghabangbuhay,” Monday, April 4.
“Yes, siyempre. Pang-habangbuhay na ito,” he said during the virtual media conference of Habangbuhay which they top-bill.
De Leon then added, “Kagabi nga lang eh, nagpapasalamat ako sa Diyos kasi may trabaho ako, mayroon akong masayang pamilya. Kaya sobrang kuntento ako sa buhay ko ngayon and ‘yon sobrang happy.”
Joson, on the other hand, revealed her commitment to her real-life partner and their daughter, Felize.
“Commitment ko kay McCoy at kay baby Felize to always be present and with you guys. Very cliche yung ups and downs nandiyan ako pero ups and downs, nandiyan ako.”
It can be recalled that the two got together in 2021 after splitting up back in 2019. Apparently, reigniting their love was not intentional.
“Kumbaga, we just let time heal everything.
Doon nag-start,” revealed the young actress.
De Leon said that he started from the bottom once again. In this second chance in love, the young actor stressed that he did almost everything to make his girlfriend happy.
“Noong nanligaw ako ano ba yung happiness niya, lahat-lahat. Hindi ko naman siguro malalahat pero hanggang ngayon naman po, I’m trying naman po na gawin pa din at to the highest level ang heart niya. Siyempre hindi naman one day lang iyon. Habangbuhay.”
When is the big day?
According to the young actor, they are not rushing things. He pointed out that they are still in the early stages of their relationship.
Andoon kami. Ayaw naming biglain or madaliin,” stated de Leon.
Joson added that having a family of their own got them thinking of preparing for the future. Still, it is in their best interest to be joined as husband and wife.
“Preparations kasi talaga. Because yun nga, alam naman natin with the baby, sudden din. So we want to be prepared to move forward din with our future. So we want to be prepared.”
The young actor was always the reason for a celebrity couple’s breakup.
“Naku!
But then, assurance comes after doubt. The young actor said that he always advised Joson “not to think about it.”
The young actress then added, “Ang importante is you both feel secured with each other. Kapag okay naman ‘yon, kahit may mga news pa from other people na hiwalayan, hindi na makakaapekto sa inyo iyon.”
De Leon then “advised” other celebrity couples to stop breaking up.
Habangbuhay is directed by Real Florido and will be available for streaming on Vivamax beginning April 22.
