It was 9 years ago when Roxas City native Mikoy Morales started his showbiz career by joining the talent search competition “Protégé.” Earlier this month, the actor/singer pledged his loyalty to the Kapuso network by renewing his talent management contract with GMA Artist Center.

Mikoy has nothing but gratitude to GMA for entrusting several projects to him through the years and for helping him develop his singing and acting skills.

“Salamat sa tiwala. It’s never just work with you, it’s personal, always has been. Kapuso all the way. #ProudToBeKapusoMikoyMorales”–he posted on social media after his contract renewal.

The 27-year-old already appeared in several Kapuso series like “Teen Gen,” “With A Smile,” “Villa Quintana,” “More Than Words,” “Marimar,” “D’ Originals,” “Sirkus,” “My Special Tatay,” “The Gift,” and “First Yaya,” among others. Currently, Mikoy can be seen on “Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kwento” and “Bubble Gang.”

Looking forward, Mikoy wished to star in a historical film.

“I wanna do a historical film, I wanna do a biopic of someone really important and relevant at malapit sa akin, top of mind ‘yun ang gusto kong gawin ngayon,” he said. His previous films include “4 Days” and “Family History.” He has a new movie titled “Mang Jose” which was launched on ViVaMax just two weeks ago.

During the blogcon for his contract renewal, Mikoy expressed his excitement for his new project “Lolong” where he is one of the cast-members. The Ruru Madrid-starrer is being dubbed as the biggest Action-Adventure series to air on Philippine television and the actor brags about the quality of CGI special effects being used in the upcoming series.

“Nood kayo ng ‘Bubble Gang,’ mag 25th anniversary na kami, sobrang big deal nun; also ‘Pepito Manaloto’ and itong ‘Lolong’ abangan niyo, ito yung saan ako naka-quarantine ngayon for our lock-in taping and I can’t wait for you to see this. Blessing in disguise din na na-move kami ng airing dahil ang daming ginawa for the post-production. Masasabi ko sa inyo na ang mga makikita niyo, pinaghandaan talaga siya, you’ll know what I’m talking about when you see it, magugulat kayo sa makikita niyo,” he said.
