Comedian-Vlogger-talent manager Ogie Diaz expressed his concern over Enchong Dee as the latter’s cyber libel case filed by Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER) Rep. Claudine Diana Bautista-Lim is not yet dismissed in an interview on Monday, January 3.

In August 2021, Dee called out Bautista through a tweet for having a ‘lavish’ wedding with Jose Lim lll in Balesin amid the pandemic.

The actor eventually apologized to the congresswoman, but Bautista still filed a cyber libel complaint in the same month against Dee and his fellow celebrities Diaz, Agot Isidro, and Pokwang for criticizing her wedding.

Except Dee, Diaz, Isidro, and Pokwang’s cyber libel case was dismissed because their statements were not considered slanderous.

“Siyempre lahat kami nasampahan ng kaso pero nagkataon lang siguro ‘yung amin (kasama sina Pokwang at Agot) medyo simple kaya nabasura,” he said.

Diaz said he did not discuss the issue on his YouTube channel because it would be insensitive for Dee. He also said that he is sad about the actor’s predicament.

“Kaya hindi ko dini-discuss ito sa YouTube ko kasi ‘yung kasamahan namin parang… masarap magbunyi kung lahat kayo panalo. Magbubunyi ka tapos ‘yung isang kasama mo, nandoon pa rin siya.

“Syempre sad ako for Enchong pero sana maayos, sana ganu’n din ang kalabasan ng tulad sa amin.

“Pero hindi pa tapos (yung sa kanila nina Agot at Pokwang) kasi depende na lang kung may aapela,” he added.

Diaz said that this incident taught him a lesson regarding giving opinions about someone or something.

“Oo naman lesson learned to all of us na kahit alam mo sa sarili mo na hindi naman libelous o ano, e, meron naman palang masasaktan sa naging opinyon ko,” he shared.

As of writing, Dee has not aired any statement about his cyber libel case filed by Bautista.
