As a gamer himself, Kapamilya actor Paulo Avelino shared his thoughts about online gaming.
The actor is an avid gamer and streams his online gaming videos on the popular live-streaming platform Twitch.
In his tweet on Thursday, July 22, Avelino shared that online gaming is becoming a professional career for some people as they can already earn something from it.
It’s such a good time to be a gamer. With all these NFT play to earn games popping up gamers finally can earn while playing. Gone are the days na pinapagalitan ka ng magulang mo dahil walang patutunguhan ang paglalaro dahil mas mataas pa kitaan dito kesa nasa opisina.

NFT (non-fungible token) gaming is a movement for play-to-earn games in which gamers can collect rewards within the game that can later be converted to real cash.
Meanwhile, Avelino previously made the headlines as he took his passion for gaming to the next level by venturing into an esports streaming company.
He became a part of Luponwxc which is one of the country’s leading esports media companies.
Avelino was then partnered up with local esports personality Nico “KuyaNic” Nazario.
In a media conference by Luponwxc where he was asked to choose between acting and gaming, Avelino did not choose between the two but acknowledged the space that gaming occupies in his life.
“I fell in love with games so parang it was always a part of me and my personality. Pero yung acting talaga sa akin, parang calling siya. Hindi ko rin naman inexpect na mag-aartista ako,” he said.
Avelino is best known for his television series such as Walang Hanggan (2012), Honesto (2013), and Bridges of Love (2015).
He is also known for his 2020 film Fan Girl with Charlie Dizon where he won best actor awards from 46th Metro Manila Film Festival, The EDDYS 4th Entertainment Editors’ Choice Award, and 21st Gawad PASADO Awards.
His latest project is the light family drama Marry Me, Marry You with Janine Gutierrez. The series will be seen on ABS-CBN platforms soon.
