Thea Tolentino admits struggle with portraying a toned-down role

On October 15, Kapuso artist Thea Tolentino admitted that she had struggled with portraying a toned-down role.

During the media conference for the Las Hermanas, Tolentino noted that she struggled with her role because she got used to Kontrabida characters.

So this is the real change for me–a big change for me. Kasi ‘yung mga naging roles ko dati, is talagang ang laki noong acting, ng galaw, laging sumisigaw, talakera, pero dito sa Las Hermanas, sobrang toned down talaga. Medyo nahirapan ako.”

She then clarified that their series director, Monti Parungao, guided her portrayal for Las Hermanas.

As for her career and personal life, Tolentino revealed that “her heart is happy” and that she’s focusing on herself and her family.

And para sa akin ngayon, it’s not selfish na unahin ang sarili. Ngayon focus ako in helping with my family, at the same time, also giving time for myself.”

As for their upcoming series, Tolentino stars alongside Yasmien Kurdi, Faith da Silva, and Albert Martinez in the newest drama offering from GMA Network, Las Hermanas

Aside from the main cast, the series also has Jason Abalos, Rita Avila, Leandro Baldemor, Jennica Garcia, Lucho Ayala, Madeline Nicolas, Rubi Rubi, Melissa Mendez, Robert Ortega, Orlando Sol, and Coleen Paz.

Las Hermanas premieres on October 25, on GMA Network, after 24 Oras.
