Harbor City Restaurant at 707 S King St. in Seattle has been closed by a Public Health food inspector on Oct. 14, 2021, because of the following food safety violations:

Pest infestation
Sewage back-up
Excessive critical violations (95 red critical points)

The establishment will be reopened once the inspector confirms that these issues have been resolved.

Seattle-King County Public Health lists the reasons for closing an establishment which may be due to food code violations, failure to follow the permitting process, a COVID-19 outbreak, or COVID-19 Safe Start guideline violations.

Depending on the type of closure, additional information may include the date the facility was shut down, whether the establishment has reopened, the date it reopened, a link to the inspector’s report, and additional notes.

Information for restaurants closed by the health department will remain online for a minimum of seven days after the establishment is reopened.

Thirteen restaurants closed by public health this year remain closed. In addition to the most recent closure of the Harbor City Restaurant, the five Alki Beach establishments closed July 24 by Public Health for lacking valid permits remain shut down.

Those five are Ivonne Pineda’s Stand at Alki Beach; Nieves De Garrafa at Alki Beach; Marco Morales Stand at Alki Beach; Chopped N Skewed at Alki Beach. and Botanas Locas at Alki Beach. All five were ordered to cease doing business at the same time.
