Tom Ford Beauty Belle de Peche Eye Color Quad ($89.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a new, limited edition warm-toned neutral quad. While nothing on the box or the palette itself indicates that the formula is any different than past releases, it absolutely felt different to me.

It felt like a cream-powder formula, slightly firmer compared to the actual Eye Color Creme formula just released but more similar to that than the past gel-powder releases (that often have the raised look with some imprint). It’s actually a beautiful formula, and it performed comparably to the Eye Color Creme one for me as well; the shades were smooth, pigmented, and blendable with a very seamless effect on skin as they almost “melted” against them but were still long-wearing.

Belle de Peche #1 is a medium peach with warmer, yellowy undertones and a satin finish. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, though the formula actually worked better with a dry brush to initially get through the surface as a fingertip almost compressed the product in too much. The eyeshadow applied evenly to bare skin and diffused well along the edges. It stayed on well for nine hours before fading visibly.

Belle de Peche #2 is a muted, medium-dark orange with strong, warm undertones and a satin finish. The texture was more like a cream-powder (about 30-35% cream from touching and playing with it) that felt only cream-like when I touched it with a fingertip or saw how it “melted” on my lids, but when working with a dry brush, I could see slight powder kicked up in the pan. It had opaque color payoff that lasted nicely for nine hours before fading a bit.
