The all-new Watson’s at The Entertainment Quarter Moore Park, is delighted to debut its Mardi Gras event, GAY FOR IT! On Saturday 5th March, 2022, the celebration of joy will kick off from midday and run through to sunrise with a dazzling line-up of performances. With tickets on sale now, this is an event not to be missed, as we unite in a celebration of diversity and acceptance for an evening of fun and frivolity.

Watson’s was set to host the official after party for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras together with The Hordern Pavilion, Max Watts and The Entertainment Quarter surrounds, however due to the party not being operable under the state’s Public Health Order, it was cancelled in late January.

However, in true QUEEN style, ‘The Show Must Go On’, welcoming GAY FOR IT!, Watson’s very own Mardi Gras Party, which will hopefully be the start of an annual celebration for many years to come. Watson’s, being a hop, skip and a jump from the neighboring Sydney Cricket Ground, home to the official Mardi Gras Parade, is the ideal location for such an event. Parade goers need only strut on down to continue the celebrations.

Party until sunrise with an all-star line-up, headlined by the Queen of Glitterland, international superstar, DJ KITTY GLITTER who will be joined by some of Sydney’s hottest DJ’s and performers including a live performance from Drag Queen, Joyce Maynge and a mix of uninhibited house, pop and feelgood bangers from the likes of Kate Monroe, Estee Louder, DJ NATE, Dan Azzo and more.

Unite with friends and lovers alike as Watson’s is transformed into a technicolour playground. Party from day to night and beyond on the alfresco decks underneath the fairy-lit fig trees. Enjoy the Mardi Gras Parade live on the mega screen in the courtyard or head on up to Danny’s Bar on level 1 and disco until dawn on the Nueva Nights dance floor.

Whether you are the Porn Star (Passionfruit Martini on tap), The Naughty Nueva (Frozen Nueva Sangria) or the ‘Nip Slip’ (Absolut Vodka Watermelon Slushie) type, Watson’s will have a cocktail for you. Sip and bite all night long with a tantalizing selection of tipples and eats that will delight your senses.

First release tickets are on sale NOW, $45 AUD will give you all day access to the Watson’s GAY FOR IT! event, with doors opening from 11:30 am AEST. Live entertainment will run from midday through to 3:30am AEST. Those holding GAY FOR IT! Tickets are welcome to join in the celebrations pre and post parade or stay on for the whole event. This is a strictly 18+ occasion.
