Another woman tops PMA graduates
Cadet First Class (CFC) Gemalyn Sugui, emerged on top among four other women who graduated with honors and among the 196 graduates and hauled awards – the Presidential Saber, the Achievement Award for Academic Excellence, JUSMAG, Philippine Army Saber, Spanish Armed Forces, Social Sciences Plaque, Management Plaque and the Rule of Law Award.
Coming second was CFC Jade Villanueva from Tacliban City, who was also awarded the Vice Presidential Saber, Association of Generals and Flag Officers Award, Academic Group Award, Australian Defense Best Over-all Performance Award, General Antonio Luna Awars, Army Service Proffesional Courses Plaque, Department of Leadership Plaque and the Humanities Plaque.
In third place was CFC Jefferson Salazar of Zamboanga City, who copped the Secretary of National Defense Saber, Philippine Navy Saber, Australian Defense Best Over-all Performance Award and the Mathematics Plaque, while in fourth is CFC Rotes Gaile Jamandre, a lady from Lamut, Ifugao.
Coming in fifth place is CFC Jeb Bay-an of La Trinidad, Benguet, while in sixth is CFC Catabay Ladyong from Tabuk City, Kalinga. The seventh to 10th places were CFC Vanelyn Angel Tabao of Tuguegarao City; CFC June Giel Anne Lacuesta Factor from Paddig, Ilocos Norte; CFC Rubenson Prajes Abgao of Baroy, Lanao del Norte and CFC Dencel Aina Mendoza Bayaca of San Jose, Floridablanca, Pampanga.
This is the first time that the PMA graduation is not open to the public in line with the safety measures to prevent the possible spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection
