How To Cook Creamy Garlic Sauce And Recipes You Can Make

Creamy dishes will always be irresistible. Add garlic to the mix, and you get an instantly tasty dish with an aroma that will make you eager to eat!

These creamy garlic dishes usually have one thing in common: a creamy garlic sauce

Chicken, pork, beef, and even fish can be made extra appetizing with a creamy garlic sauce served poured over it, simmered with it, or on the side ready to be dunked into it. You can make this easy sauce with just a few ingredients you probably already have on hand!

Here’s how to make a basic yet super tasty creamy garlic sauce:

  • 1 Heat and melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  • 2 Add 3 finely crushed garlic cloves, stirring until softened and fragrant. (Add more garlic if desired.)
  • Sprinkle in 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour. Stir into the butter-garlic mixture until absorbed.
  • 4 Stir in 1 cup fresh milk and 1/2 cup all-purpose cream. (You can also use 1/2 cup evaporated milk and 1/2 cup water for the fresh milk.) Stir to combine then let simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  • 5 Season with salt and ground pepper to taste.

You can make a chunkier garlic sauce by simmering roughly chopped or even whole garlic cloves over low heat in the butter or oil until the garlic is softened. If you really want to make an irresistible garlic sauce with a more complex flavor, roast 1 head garlic, drizzled with oil, seasoned with salt, and wrapped in foil, until the garlic is softened. Squeeze out the tender cloves and add this to your sauce. You can even roast several heads and serve these on the side of your choice of meat. Let your garlic-loving eater add as much as they desire!

A sauce like this silky creamy garlic sauce can be the flavor bomb that takes your dish from tasty to outstandingly delicious. Here are recipes to try using a creamy garlic sauce:

What’s more appetizing and irresistible than a chicken that’s both creamy and garlicky? This easy chicken recipe is exactly that! Plus, since this recipe uses boneless chicken (we used thigh fillets but you can use breast fillets if desired.), it cooks fast and easily, too. You’ll want lots of rice with this chicken dish!

3 Creamy Garlic Shrimp Fettuccine Recipe

It’s not just chicken that can make a creamy garlic pasta delicious! Bring the luxe up a notch or two by skipping the chicken and using shrimp instead. You’ll still have the creamy garlic sauce but when it’s paired with sweet shrimp, it’s a flavor upgrade that you’ll appreciate.

4 Garlic Baked Fish Recipe

When it comes to fish, it’s easy to forget that it cooks quite quickly. That’s why we think fish needs to be on your menu more often than beef, pork, or even chicken! There’s no need to tenderize the meat, plus no bones to worry about if you grab fish fillets from the frozen section!

This fish fillet recipe comes together fast and easily, especially if you have the creamy garlic sauce ready to be poured on top. Feel free to just season the thawed fish fillets with salt and pepper, place it in a baking dish, and then cover it with the creamy sauce before baking until cooked through. It’s fast, easy, and definitely delicious!

5 Baked Tahong Recipe

Tahong or mussels make fantastic appetizers and this recipe is one of the best ways to enjoy this shellfish. It’s creamy because of the melty cheese that’s on top but it’s also garlicky. You can skip the cheese and add it instead to the creamy garlic sauce you made. Then use dollops of this creamy, cheesy garlic sauce on top of tender tahong in the half shell to make this over-the-top good.
