The litson baka (roast beef) craze has got to be one of the best food trends that happened this year, especially if you absolutely love and have an appetite for meat. It started with Andok’s then followed by the likes of Rico’s Lechon and Kraver’s Canteen. But way before that, there were already many places to buy delicious litson baka, like Borzoi’s Lechon Baka.

If you aren’t familiar with Borzoi’s Litson Baka, the beef they use is a lot thicker compared to Andok’s. The beef has just the right amount of fat that won’t make you feel guilty eating it and it is very tender, too. You will definitely not have a hard time chewing, biting on the meat at all!

But what really makes Borzoi’s stand out is the flavor of their Lechon Baka as it tastes like a milder version of Pinoy bistek. The sauce, which you can find at the bottom of the tray is not too oily, not too salty, and you can taste a tinge of sweetness to it, too. It’s addicting that you’ll want to pour it all over your steamed white rice.

Each package of Borzoi’s Lechon Baka comes with reheating instructions, just in case you have enough self-control to not finish the entire tray of roast beef in one sitting. It has the “Special Reheating Sauce” and “Beef Oil” you can cook the Lechon Baka with. The taste of the sauce and oil aren’t different from the original sauce that comes with the Lechon Baka when served (or delivered), but it’s definitely amazing because you get a lot more of this bistek-like sauce with the meat.

The only catch is that Borzoi’s Lechon Baka is on the pricier side, but it’s definitely worth it! The Afforda-chon (good for 3-5) costs P1,100, the Barkada-chon (good for 6-10 people) costs P1,988, and the Fiesta-chon (good for 10-15 people) costs P2,958. But if you just want to try it without having to spend more than a thousand bucks, you can order it as a rice topping for only P189.
