CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, July 18 (PIA) – A total of 198 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from this province have received their farm inputs from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently.
The recipients are from the municipalities of Cabagan (55), San Pablo (89), Santa Maria (40) and Santo Tomas (14).
Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer II Eunomio Israel Jr said that the distribution of farm inputs is part of the component 2 of “The PaSSOver: ARBold Move for the Deliverance of our Farmers from the COVID-19 Pandemic.”
Israel said the project aims to help ARBs produce their own food like vegetables to meet the nutritional needs of their families and have income through backyard gardening.
Among the farm inputs that were distributed to each ARB are five assorted packs of vegetable seeds, seedling trays, one sack of urea fertilizer, one garden hoe, one bottle of pesticide, and hand spray.
The distribution of farm inputs was graced by Cabagan Mayor Atty. Christopher A. Mamauag, some other municipal and barangay officials and DAR officials from Isabela. (MDCT/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
