(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Thursday, Oct. 28. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 2:13 a.m. It had its epicenter 222 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 32 kilometers. The earthquake was of tectonic origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
