Aboitiz Foundation donates surgical masks to MMDA

PASIG CITY, July 19 (PIA) — The Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. recently donated surgical masks to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to protect its frontliners. 

MMDA Chair Danilo Lim personally received the 5,000 pieces of surgical masks from the foundation.

Lim expressed his gratitude to the foundation and said that the surgical masks will not only protect the well-being of MMDA frontliners but will boost their morale as well.  

He said augmenting needed medical supplies such as face masks is important to prevent COVID-19 infection on their personnel and emergency responders

He also assured the foundation that that the MMDA will further intensify its frontline and emergency services amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of the agency’s measures against COVID-19, the distribution of face masks has been a regular practice to aid its field personnel from traffic, flood control, street sweepers, demolition team, and other frontline services providers. (PIA-NCR)
