Cavite SP passes ordinance on mandatory quarantine of COVID-19 patients
TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite Jul 11 (PIA) — The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) here has passed Provincial Ordinance No. 290-2020 during its 50th regular session on July 6, 2020.
Also known as an Ordinance on the Mandatory Quarantine and Isolation in a Hospital or a Government Facility of all Persons Confirmed with Coronavirus Disease 2019, PO No. 290-2020 aims to ensure the safety of Caviteños and to prevent the massive spread of the disease.
Vice Governor Ramon Jolo B. Revilla III introduced the ordinance while Board Member Kerby Salazar sponsored the initiative and co-sponsored by all the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members and now awaits subsequent approval of Governor Jonvic Remulla fro enactment.
Once approved for implementation, all persons confirmed positive with COVID-19 shall be brought to the isolation facility for the necessary quarantine, isolation and proper treatment.
Vice Governor Jolo Revilla assured the people saying, “The Sangguniang Panlalawigan with all its members is continuously exerting its best efforts in thinking of solutions to fight the COVID-19,” and requested everyone to work together against this challenge.
