DAVAO DEL NORTE, JUNE 29 (PIA)—The Provincial Government of Davao del Norte is set to launch today (June 29) its drive to strengthen its coffee cluster now that it has proven its high quality of Arabica coffee production.
Dubbed as Launching of Coffee Adaptive Training Approach-cum-Organizational Strengthening of Davao del Norte Coffee Cluster, the event is set at PTV DavNor Studio where Kapihan sa DavNor will also be held in advance schedule to feature the coffee industry of Davao del Norte.
Provincial Governor Edwin I. Jubahib is expected to attend the launching ceremony that will be attended by provincial and regional heads of the Department of Agriculture (DA) XI, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) XI, heads of provincial government offices led by Provincial Administrator Josie Jean Rabanoz.
Private stakeholders of the coffee industry in Davao del Norte including proprietors of leading coffee-maker entities in Davao Region are being lined up for the Kapihan sa DavNor that will form part of the whole-day event, together with DTI .
Aside from Governor Jubahib and DTI Provincial Director Romeo Castanaga, other panelists are Marivic Dubria, 2019 Philippine Coffee Quality Competition Champion – Arabica Category; Joefel Manlod, proprietor of Purge Coffee Roaster/Barista/Roasters Champ; Ludovico “Jun” Ramirez, technical coordinator of Agricultural Cooperative Development International / Volunteers in Overseas Cooperative Assistance (ACDI/VOCA)
A session on Organizational strengthening and action planning is set in the afternoon together with private sector representatives to the Provincial Agricultural and Fisheries Council (PAFC) and the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAGRO). (Jeanevive D. Abangan, PIA XI)
