DOH CAR OIC Regional Director Dr. Amelita Pangilinan, in an online presser on June 23, reminded the public to always wear face mask when going out of their homes, ensure physical distancing and practice basic health and hygiene protocols such as regular hand washing and coughing/sneezing etiquette as well as on staying at home as much as possible to prevent exposure to possible infection.

Pangilinan outlined that COVID – 19 remains to be a threat until a vaccine and prescribed medications are developed and the basic health and safety protocols remain to be the best prevention tool for everyone.
She informed that new confirmed cases may still be recorded with the expanded risk – based testing and the continuing movement of returning overseas Filipinos and locally stranded individuals. (JDP/CCD-PIA CAR)
