OPFM-Socot to acquire brand new command vehicle
KORONADAL, South Cotabato, July 15 – Leading a province with geographical features of generally flat terrain dotted with some hills and mountains is challenging, the South Cotabato Provincial Fire Marshal admitted, and he relishes as the PDDRM Officer-in-charge broke the news that a brand new command vehicle will be given to the former’s office.
Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (PDRRM) Officer Rolly Doane Aquino on Tuesday, July 14 revealed the good news during the radio program he hosted.
“Alam nyo po, mahal na mahal ko po itong team ng Bureau of Fire Protection. Actually padating na po ang gift ng PDDRMO sa inyo. I think on the way na nasa barko na daw,” Aquino disclosed.
The command vehicle is a hi-end lifted 4-wheel drive Toyota pickup type vehicle.
For his part, Chief Inspector Jeraniel Chavez Taporco was very thankful for the support of the PDRRMO to the Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal (OPFM), South Cotabato.
“Malaking tulong talaga para sa amin yan, kasi si Bureau of Fire Protection is equipment based,” CInsp Taporco emphasized as he quickly recognized the effort of his predecessor in the acquisition of such command vehicle.
