Rizal agrarian beneficiaries receive P 772k worth of agri-inputs
ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, June 29 (PIA)– The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)- Rizal recently awarded a total of P772,905 worth of agricultural inputs to members of agrarian beneficiary organizations (ARBO) in the province.
357 beneficiaries, all members of ARBOs, received the inputs in a ceremonial distribution held on June 26 at Sitio. Cinco, Brgy. Pinugay, Baras, Rizal as part of DAR’s Farm Productivity Assistance component of the PaSSOver: ARBold Move for Deliverance of ARBs from the COVID-19 Pandemic Project.
DAR Secretary John R. Castriciones led the activity by turning over six kinds of seeds for pinakbet vegetables including squash, sitaw, okra, ampalaya, eggplant and, tomato; fertilizers such as urea, complete, ammonium sulfate, and vermicast, and small farm tools like rake and pick mattock to the ARBO cluster leaders of ARBO representatives, Baliksaka Farmers Association, Inc. (BFAI) and Pinugay ARBs Association Inc. (PARBAI).
The 357 ARB recipients come from Angono, 26; Antipolo City, 55; Baras, 118; Jalajala, 7; Montalban, 8; Pililla, 21, and Tanay, 122.
BFAI President Rhodora “Inday” Rey expressed her gratitude to the agency, particularly to the provincial office led by DAR Rizal PARPO II Saturnino B. Bello for the untiring support extended to the ARBs.
