Select PUJs to restart service in NCR tomorrow

QUEZON CITY, July 2  (PIA) – Around 6,000 traditional jeepneys operating in 49 routes in the National Capital Region (NCR) will once again be offering transportation services tomorrow, July 3,  as relayed by Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque from the DOTr report in today’s online press briefing.

Roque added that these jeepneys will only include those that are deemed road-worthy by the Land Transportation Office, and those that have valid Personal Passenger Insurance policies.

The base fare will remain at nine pesos (P 9.00) for the first four kilometers with an additional one peso and fifty centavos (P 1.50) for each succeeding kilometer.

Roque added that jeepney drivers and operators are required to implement safety protocols such as maintaining a fifty percent maximum passenger capacity, adherance to social distancing and wearing of masks among passengers, as well as use of disinfectants.

The following jeepney routes are those that will become operational starting tomorrow.
