Huawei Watch GT 3 Review: A stylish blend of endurance, efficiency and elegance
With all the functionality of previous editions and more, it’s also easy on the eye with its understated elegance.
I typically hit the gym about 4-5 times a week and have always found Huawei watches to surpass expectations as a training companion. But this new look makes it ideal for a more formal setting as well.
DESIGN AND HARDWARE
Design is the most appropriate place to begin because it’s the first thing about any watch that gets noticed and that’s one of the areas in which the new HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Moon Phase Collection II excels.
It boasts a polished appearance that emanates a luxurious vibe with its ultra-clear 1.43-inch screen, premium materials and different colours and styles of watch straps.
The watch now supports an always-on dial clock display. The minimalist lugs, large lenses, and lightweight design give the 46mm model a modern look. Without a strap, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 46mm weighs just 42.6g with an overall thickness of 11mm.
The design overhaul extends to the watch interface, as well. It has a rotating crown with tactile feedback.
The feature that goes that extra yard to emulating high-end luxury watches satisfies in both concept and execution. That’s in reference to the unique watch faces from which you can observe the different phases of the moon as it changes.
All of this and it comes with an extended battery life. The 46mm lasts upto 14 days on a single charge while the smaller 42mm should run for 7 days.
HEALTH AND FITNESS
With upgraded hardware and software, the GT 3 meets every expectation where its health management features are concerned. It continuously monitors SpO2, heart rate, sleep, and stress levels in real-time while you can also pesonalise reminders for for daily water intake, daily mindfulness, sleep time, and exercise volume.
The watch is equipped with the HUAWEI TruSeenTM 5.0+ heart rate monitoring technology, which can measure the heart rate with a precision of 5bpm.
It can be annoying when your outdoor exercises aren’t logged accurately but the dual-frequency GPS tracks your running and walking sessions precisely.
No need to spend money on a personal trainer either. The watch provides personalised training programs and guidance along the way that includes real-time voice reminders of the goals and status during sessions.
The HUAWEI Health App lets you view and analyse – in great detail – your workout data. The GT 3 offers over 100 workout modes.
FEATURES
The watch also comes with all the bells and whistles for your convenience. It supports Bluetooth calls while you can receive, read, and reply to messages right from your wrist.
You can also control your music so you don’t have to keep reaching for your phone while training. The HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 has enhanced life assistant features, as well. It supports remote shutter, reminders, weather, alarm clock, stopwatch, timer, find my phone, voice assistant, etc.
VERDICT
This is the watch that caters to the modern day professional. The GT3 Moonphase II is refined and stylish to ensure that a well-polished ensemble is not compromised by a sporty gadget on your wrist.
It also offers plenty of upgrades to the software and hardware while also providing new features that were previously lacking in the face of its competitors.
