Black Friday TV sales are here, and these are the best deals
UPDATE: Nov. 19, 2021 2:00 p.m. ET Best Buy’s Black Friday sale has officially started — we’ve added its latest and best deals below.
We’ve gathered the best deals on 4K TVs this Black Friday. These are the ones to consider as of Nov. 19:
-
onn. 70-inch 4K LED Roku Smart TV is an absolutely incredible bang for your buck at Walmart — $398
-
The Samsung 70-inch TU6958 Series 4K Crystal UHD TV offers enjoyable HDR on a big screen for a small price — $599.99
$749.99(save $150) -
The LG 65-inch C1 Series OLED 4K TV has dazzling picture that can keep up with gaming — $1,796.99
$2,499.99(save $703) -
The Insignia 58-inch F30 4K Fire TV operates on Amazon’s Fire TV platform and is cheaper than the 55-inch model — $349.99
$579.99(save $230)
TVs are always a huge ticket item during Black Friday. In 2020, Best Buy devoted 10 pages of its Black Friday ad scan to TVs alone.
Deals just as awesome started sprouting up as early as October for the 2021 Black Friday season. (The Brands have largely decided to say “screw the calendar.”) Many 4K TVs dropped to their Black Friday prices weeks ahead of time.
But hitting Nov. 19 means we’re in official official mode. Best Buy has dropped its full Black Friday sale (and is a great place to snag a TV), and Walmart is holding its final (and probably best) Deals for Days event on Nov. 22. As of Nov. 19, Samsung has also unleashed all of its deals.
Check out the best Black Friday TV deals organized by brand, then size, then price.
Samsung TV deals
Why we love it
A 70-inch TV from Samsung for less than $600? That sums it up. Though it’s not anything super fancy in the 4K category, the TU6985 Series still gets great reviews for being crisp and responsive for the price. This price could drop closer to $529.99 (we’re thinking of a 70-inch Samsung TV deal from Black Friday 2020), but the TV could also sell out before that happens.

LG TV deals
Why we love it
The LG C1’s OLED display has more than 8 million pixels to bring you deep blacks and vibrant colors. Its 4K AI processor adjusts with the content to ensure everything you watch looks the best it can. Its zippy refresh rate keeps heavy-graphics gaming on point, too.

Sony TV deals
Why we love it
Sony doesn’t often have the budget-friendly range that Samsung or LG do, so a 55-inch OLED TV for $1,399.99 feels pretty good, actually. Not to be confused with the base tier X80J, the A80J is a brilliant high-end TV to pay a little extra for. The near-infinite OLED contrast ratio makes pure black shades pop in bright and dark rooms, and the sound follows what’s happening onscreen.

Why we love it
The F30 series is the 2021 version of one of the best bargain TVs available. The built-in Fire TV platform is intuitive and organized, and is a seamless transition for Amazon device-heavy homes. It’s not quite the punch that Amazon’s Omni Series TVs pack, but for about $200 cheaper (depending on size), it’s a noticeably crispy upgrade from a non-4K TV.

Tips for buying a TV on Black Friday
This is the time to splurge on that XL screen that can turn your basement into a home theater, or upgrade the garage or spare room to 4K resolution that doesn’t make you squint.
But you don’t have to stress while prepping the turkey — many of the best deals are already live. Best Buy kicks off its official Black Friday sale on Nov. 19, and Amazon and Walmart are dropping deals that look a lot like Black Friday prices. Supply chain challenges and shipping delays are sure to hit hard this holiday season, furthering our advice to shop the big ticket items ahead of time.
What we expect from Black Friday 2021
We’ve known for months that retailers aren’t following the typical Black Friday calendar this year. In the weekend and week preceding actual Black Friday, Best Buy will be kicking off its official Black Friday sale on Nov. 19 and Walmart will be holding its third Deals for Days event on Nov. 22. Amazon, though not confirmed, is almost guaranteed to get in on that early action.
Expect to see discounts of $500 and more off of 65-inch and 75-inch QLED and OLED models, and midsize 4K TVs chilling at or below the $500 price point.
