OMG! Dennis Trillo-Jennylyn Mercado’s “future selves shoot” turns into a proposal!

Kapuso stars Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo on Friday, October 29, shared in their YouTube channel how the latter proposed to the former.

Before the video was uploaded on YouTube, it was announced on GMA Network’s 24 Oras that the two were now engaged but invited viewers to see the full details in the couple’s channel.

Trillo proposed on October 8 and apparently, it was meant to be a surprise for Mercado, who had no idea that she was going to be engaged that day.

According to the video, Mercado thought that they were only shooting a “future selves” video.

However, it turns out that her Trillo has something special in store for her.

Trillo started by saying, “Nandito na tayo. Narating din natin, step by step, dahan-dahan. Ito yung mga araw sa buhay natin na magbabago na talaga. Papasok na tayo sa panibagong level, panibagong stage.”

The actor became emotional while thanking Mercado for choosing him as her boyfriend.

“Gusto ko lang mag-thank you kasi pinili mo ako na samahan sa journey na ito. Iniisip mo siguro kung bakit ngayon lang nangyari, hindi pa kasi ako ready noon.

“Pero siniguro ko muna na, talagang kapagka nangyari ‘yon, ito na yung best version ko. Gusto kong mag-thank you kasi tinulungan mo ako na maging ganoon. Akala ko dati, okay na ako pero, madami pala akong dapat i-improve sobra para sa akin para sa iyo.

“Salamat lang talaga at dumating ka ulit sa buhay ko. Hindi ko alam kung makakahanap pa ako ng pagmamahal na katulad ng binigay mo sa akin kasi talagang sagad eh at ramdam na ramdam ko yun.

“Ikaw lang ang gusto kong kasama, ikaw at yung bagong addition sa pamilya natin. Isa yun sa mga pangarap ko. Matutupad lang yung mga pangarap na yun kung papayag kang…”

Trillo paused briefly, and uttered, “Pakasalan ako,” leaving Mercado speechless and overwhelmed.

The couple is also expecting another addition to their family as the actress announced on 24 Oras that they are pregnant.

“Positive ako,” Mercado laughed. The actress, who is nine weeks pregnant revealed that she discovered her pregnancy when she started feeling different at a taping.

Mecado and Trillo who each have sons from previous relationships said that they are hoping for a daughter this time.

Both rekindled their old love in 2014 after separating in 2011 and are now over their seventh year as a couple.
