Sylvia Sanchez admits not keen on Arjo Atayde’s political inclination, but still supports her son’s congressional bid

On October 25, seasoned Kapamilya actress Sylvia Sanchez admitted that she didn’t want her son Arjo Atayde to run for Congress.

During the media conference for Huwag Kang Mangamba: The Healing Finale, Sanchez said that she didn’t want her son to run for office, but had expressed her support to Atayde’s decision to campaign for Congress.

Kabado, Yes. Pero, suporta 1000%.”

Sanchez also revealed that ABS-CBN’s shutdown pushed Atayde to run for office.

Recently, Atayde filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) to run for the first district of Quezon City in the upcoming 2022 elections.

As for her acting career, Sanchez thanked ABS-CBN and Dreamscape for her role of Barang in Huwag Kang Mangamba. However, she admitted that it was challenging and draining.

Tiring and draining talaga si Barang.

Kaya Dreamscape and ABS-CBN maraming salamat dahil pinagkatiwalaan ninyo ako ulit ng napakaimportanteng role.”

She also noted that she plans on taking a hiatus from showbiz after portraying the challenging role.

As for the series, watch Sanchez along with the series leads Andrea Brillantes and Francine Diaz in its remaining three weeks of the series, Huwag Kang Mangamba: The Healing Finale, available on Kapamilya Channel, TV5, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, TFC, WeTV, and iflix.
