These Soft Ube Pandasals Are Stuffed With Leche Flan!
One of the first places to sell ube cheese pandesal is Bungalow Cafe & Bakery, a cafe located at Molito Lifestyle Center in Alabang. Another recent ube pastry addition to their ever-growing menu is a different take on the quarantine food trend and targets a totally different set of ube fans. For those on Team Ube + Leche Flan, meet the Ube Leche Flan Pandesal!
Bungalow’s purple-hued soft ube pandesal is filled with a creamy leche flan filling and homemade ube halaya, while the top is sprinkled with sweetened toasted cheese which is made with a mixture of cheddar, Parmesan, and sugar. This is understandably a lot richer than its ube cheese pandesal counterpart because of the leche flan, which explains the P45 price tag for each piece.
Bungalow’s Ube Leche Flan Pandesal is available on a pre-order basis only. Do take note that the cafe will start resume pre-orders and dine-in transactions starting July 14, 2020, and that deliveries will be booked and shouldered by the customer.
