Online course on practicing COVID-19 preventive measures in the workplace now open to public
BUTUAN CITY, July 6 — The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) online course on “Practicing COVID-19 Preventive Measures in the Workplace” is now open to public.
As per Memorandum No. 245 dated June 29, 2020 issued by TESDA Sec. Isidro S. Lapeña, the e-learning course was initially intended for TESDA personnel as part of the agency’s precautionary measures in the workplace.
However, the online course is now open to public to increase the public’s awareness of the nature of the virus, its transmission, and more importantly the healthy and safe protocols which is vital in the prevention of the virus, especially in the workplace.
This can be accessed thru www.e-tesda.gov.ph. Once the website is already accessed, click the Login hyperlink to register. After clicking the “Login” hyperlink, you will be taken to the login page. On the “Is this your first time here?” column, click on the “New Account” hyperlink.
Fill out the form, fields marked with asterisk (*) are mandatory. You cannot proceed with the registration unless you provide the information. After filling out the form, click on the “Create my new account” button.
After creating your account, a message will be sent to your email address. The email contains a link to activate your account, simply click on the link and your account will be activated.
How to enroll in a course? Before you can enroll in a course, make sure that you had created an account in our TESDA Online Program (TOP) website. Login to the TOP website using your registered username and password. Once logged in, you will be taken to the TOP front page. The list of available courses is displayed on this page. Click on the link of the course that you want to enroll in. Next, click on the link of the module you wish to take. On the left side of the navigation pane, under the administration panel, click on the “Enrol me in this course” link. A message box will appear asking if you really want to enroll in the module. Click on the “Yes” button to proceed.

After an almost two-hour orientation, a 40-minute summative test will be given wherein the passing rate is 80% and successful examinees will receive an electronic-generated Certificate of Completion digitally-signed by Sec. Lapeña.
