CALOOCAN CITY, July 12 (PIA) –The City Government of Valenzuela highlighted the commemoration of the 151st Birth Anniversary of the City’s local hero, Dr. Pio Valenzuela on Saturday, July 12, by paying tribute to frontliners who bravely faced the battle against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic – exemplifying the virtues of “Kabayanihan, Kalinga at Kahandaan.”
With this year’s theme as “Kabayanihan, Kalinga at Kahandaan,” the City Hall’s lobby boasts images of Valenzuela City’s frontliners represented as the modern day heroes – models of hope, resilience and unity of the entire city government force.
City officials held the traditional wreath laying ceremony to mark the simple celebration observing safety standards and protocols on mass gatherings as Metro Manila is still under General Community Quarantine (GCQ).
The event was also streamed virtually through Valenzuela City’s Facebook page to give Valenzuelanos a chance to join the ceremony on the comforts of their homes.
