Have You Tried Quezon’s Version Of Meatloaf?

Hardinera is a dish you can find in Quezon and it’s their take on the meatloaf, loaded with a lot of ingredients. This special meatloaf takes a lot of effort to prepare: it is made with sliced pork, pineapples, tomato sauce, tomato paste, raisins, pickles, grated cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and more. All the ingredients are cooked then melded together with beaten egg and placed in a llanera before it is steamed for another round of cooking.

The flavors are similar to menudo but it may be likened to the embutido, but made extra chunky with all the different ingredients. It is definitely a delicious dish you wouldn’t want to miss out on while you’re in the province.
